[Spy novel] LIMITED EDITION by Bentley Motors, just one of 500 numbered copies of their 'White' edition, issued with a chrome box in the shape of a Bentley GT as featured in the novel (a 'Red' edition was also issued, without the elaborate outer case and packaging. Publisher's white Nappa leather stamped in blind, with red stitching, leather doublures and a silk ribbon marker. The text block features a hollowed out bullet housing, with the corresponding cartridge shell engraved with the limitation number to the primer. A neat gimmick, typical of the lavish James Bond special editions of late. A fine/as new copy, carefully warehoused by ourselves since publication. Includes all the original packaging such as laser-cut foam ends and outer carton with 'Carte Blanche' limitation label. A James Bond adventure set in Afghanistan and Dubai, written by acclaimed thriller writer Jeffrey Deaver, who is a life-long admirer of the Bond novels and the 2004 winner of the Ian Fleming Silver Dagger Award, presented by the Crime Writers' Association.
