The text is abridged, printed in double-columns with exclusive illustrations by Barye Phillips including one full-page colour plate. The dramatic cover painting, showing a close-up of Bond and Jill with an inset scene of Tilly's Triumph chasing Goldfinger's Silver Ghost, is by Stan Klimley. This is an attractive version, issued in advance of that autumn's blockbuster film release of 'Goldfinger'. This is the first American periodical appearance and the first US illustrated edition.
