London: Triad Panther Books, 1979. FIRST PAPERBACK PRINTING. Octavo (17 x 11cm), pp.221; blank; advertisement, in softcovers illustrated with movie artwork. Minor toning and handling, gentle reading crease to spine else a fine copy. This was written under licence from Ian Fleming's copyright holders Glidrose Publications- when Fleming sold the film rights to his novels he would not consent to this title and 'The Spy Who Loved Me' being filmed as written; 'The Spy Who Loved Me' was an experimental novel (with female perspective and narrative), and 'Moonraker' was somewhat dated. Therefore both would need re-writing and Christopher Wood was brought in by director Lewis Gilbert to produce a screenplay and subsequent novel for the two titles. Item #52944
