The Property of a Lady (a James Bond story) [THE IVORY HAMMER]. Ian Lancaster FLEMING.

The Property of a Lady (a James Bond story) [THE IVORY HAMMER].

New York, NY: Holt, Rinehart and Winston (Printed in Great Britain by Percy Lund), 1964. [James Bond] First (and only) printing. US issue, from the UK sheets. Quarto (28 x 21cm), pp.254. Publisher's red cloth in pictorial dust-jacket. A lovely fine copy in price-clipped wrapper, with a little laminate shrinkage to joints. A particularly sharp copy. Contains the American appearance of the James Bond story 'The Property of a Lady', which appears on pp.vii–xxi., with an illustrated frontispiece of the Fabergé globe described in the accompanying story. Also includes an interesting illustrated article on gun collecting. The screen version of Octopussy, starring Roger Moore, is in fact, an extended version of this story! These items are reviewed by acknowledged experts in their field. Item #53670
