Goldeneye. Where Bond was Born: Ian Fleming's Jamaica.

London: Hutchinson, 2014. [Biography] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (24 x 16cm), pp.[xii]; 388. With eight photographic plates in colour. Publisher's black cloth lettered in gilt to spine, bottle green endpapers, pictorial dust-wrapper priced at £20. A lovely fine, unread copy. Jacket has an unfortunate cut along the spine (from box-opening with a blade), otherwise the book is untouched and the slit is of no consequence once inside the brodart. An insightful look at Fleming's life in Jamaica, where he spent each winter writing his James Bond novels at his modest beach house named Goldeneye. Hardcover first editions are seemingly scarce.
