Some expected toning to newsprint paper, small loss to foot of front cover, neat strip of tape at spine. Very good. A condensed version of the novel Goldfinger, a 'Saga Book Special', which appears on pages 23–7 and 56–69. The text is abridged, printed in double-columns with exclusive illustrations by Barye Phillips including one full-page colour plate. The dramatic cover painting, showing a close-up of Bond and Jill with an inset scene of Tilly's Triumph chasing Goldfinger's Silver Ghost, is by Stan Klimley. This attractive version was issued in advance of that autumn's blockbuster film release. This is the first American periodical appearance and the first US illustrated edition. Scarce. Item #59270
