Recently bound in navy blue half morocco, with raised bands, twin gilt-lettered labels to spine, matching cloth over boards. Edges lightly trimmed, with the original dust-jacket bound in at rear. Contents lightly toned/spotted, exterior unmarked. Near fine copy in and attractive recent leather binding. Greene's classic comic thriller, memorably brought to the screen by British director Sir Carol Reed in 1959. It was the final Reed / Greene collaboration following 'The Fallen Idol' (1948) and 'The Third Man' (1949), with Alec Guinness and Maureen O'Hara in the title roles.
