Additionally signed by Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert. All three authors have written essays contained herein. Octavo (25 x 17cm), pp.x;150; [viii], Endmatter. With numerous pages of illustrations, some in colour, several not used in the original journal publication. Deluxe copies include an exclusive insert within a map-pocket at the rear, reproducing the 1957 promotional leaflet written by Ian Fleming and designed by his friend Robert Harling. Handsomely bound in publisher's half black buckram over comb-marbled boards, yellow endpapers cloth with gilt lettering and ornament, black endpapers, contrasting red and black endbands. Fine/as new. To celebrate its 65th anniversary, The Book Collector magazine devoted its Spring 2017 issue to Ian Fleming, who had launched the publication in 1952. Essays were provided by editors old and new, family and colleagues of the author, as well as Fleming scholars, historians, bibliophiles and regular Book Collector contributors. Subsequently, fine letterpress editions were produced by Stan Lane of Gloucester Typesetting, collected and bound in hardcover or separately in softcovers. This represents the FIRST HARDCOVER EDITION. An edition numbered 1-150 was also published, in standard red cloth, both versions now fully subscribed. Item #61630
