Signed by the author, dated 1st July 1946. Lightly used; near fine. Ownership signature of Eileen M. Cond, a noted collector of signed thrillers, a correspondent of author Ian Fleming, and the first Secretary to the James Bond Fan Club. Mystery novelist Anthony Boucher compared Fleming's writing style to that of Peter Cheyney [New York Times, 25th April 1954]. A Lemmy Caution novel, set in wartime Europe. Lemmy is now attached to U.S. Army Intelligence in Paris and is on the trail of two enemy agents from France to England, and some terifucally exciting scenes in the quiet Surrey countryside.
